Getting around CoreHue

CoreHue has two fixed parts: a sidebar down the left, and a header across the top. Everything else is the page you're on.

This is a walk through both, in the order they appear, so you know where things live before you need them.

The sidebar

Nine items, top to bottom. Five of them are groups: click the name and it opens to show what's inside, closing whatever was open before.

Home. Your greeting, this week's confirmed bookings, what needs attention, and four quick actions. See Your Home screen.

Bookings, a group of five:

  • Inquiries. People who asked about working with you. A badge shows how many you haven't opened yet.
  • Calendar. A month view of confirmed and completed bookings, with your availability behind them.
  • All bookings. Every booking, in a filterable list.
  • Services. What clients can book, and the editor for each one.
  • Settings. Four tabs: Availability, Booking Page, Emails, Integrations.

Contacts, a group of two:

  • Contacts. Everyone you work with, Leads and Clients alike.
  • Intake forms. Public forms that create a contact and open a conversation when someone fills one in.

Messages. Client email, kept in threads against the person it belongs to. A badge shows unread replies.

Galleries. Every gallery you've made, published or not.

Payments, a group of four:

  • Invoices. Every invoice, draft to paid.
  • Payments. Every payment you've taken, with your received and outstanding figures.
  • Items. Your reusable catalogue of billable things. Invoice lines are named from here.
  • Settings. Five tabs: General, Invoice Defaults, Display, Tax Rates, Payment methods.

Documents, a group of three:

  • Proposals. Your pricing and options, sent for a client to accept.
  • Contracts. Agreements you send for a client to sign.
  • Questionnaires. Question sets you send for a client to answer.

Templates. Three tabs of reusable wording: Contracts, Questionnaires, Emails.

Reports, a group of one:

  • Finance. Every money entry, with filters and totals.

Both badges, on Inquiries and on Messages, stop counting out loud at 99+.

The plus beside a sidebar item

On a desktop screen, hovering over one of these items shows a small plus on the right. It skips the list and takes you straight to creating one.

ItemThe plus opens
All bookingsNew booking
ContactsNew contact
MessagesNew message
GalleriesNew gallery
InvoicesNew invoice
ProposalsNew proposal
ContractsNew contract
QuestionnairesNew questionnaire

It's the fastest route to a blank record, and it works from anywhere in the app.

The header

The breadcrumb. The trail on the left is where you are. The last crumb is the page title, and the ones before it are links back up. On a detail page the status badge sits next to the title, so an invoice reads INV-00042 with Overdue beside it.

The billing note. When your subscription needs attention, a short note appears to the left of the bell, such as a trial ending. The full explanation sits on Home and in Settings → Billing.

The bell. Notifications. The panel lists the recent ones with Mark all as read at the top, a gear that jumps to your notification settings, and View all notifications at the bottom, which opens the full page with filters for All, Galleries, Downloads, Collections, Private photos, Bookings, Payments, Documents and Messages. The list inside CoreHue is always on. What you can switch is the email that goes with each one, in Settings → Notifications.

Your avatar. The account menu, covered next.

The avatar menu

Click your avatar, top right. It opens with your name, your email address and your plan badge, one of Trial, Core or Pro, then:

  • Profile, your name, photo, CoreHue URL, country, timezone and default currency
  • Billing, your plan, payment method, usage and billing history
  • Settings, the full settings area
  • Appearance, with Light, Dark and System
  • Contact support, which opens an email to us
  • Log out

Appearance changes the dashboard, the gallery editor, the sign-in pages and nothing else. Your client-facing pages, your galleries and your emails are always light, whichever you pick. The choice is remembered per browser, so setting Dark on your laptop doesn't set it on your phone.

Where Settings lives

There's no Settings item in the sidebar. It's in the avatar menu, and it opens as one strip of seven tabs:

Profile, Business, Domains, Billing, Notifications, Reminders, Account.

Those are the settings for your account. The two settings pages that sit inside a section, Bookings → Settings and Payments → Settings, stay in the sidebar. They're about how bookings and invoices work rather than about your account. See Settings overview.

On a phone

The sidebar is hidden. The hamburger at the top left opens it, and choosing anything closes it again.

Because the full breadcrumb doesn't fit, a back arrow appears next to the hamburger instead, taking you one level up. The page title stays.

Hovering doesn't exist on a touch screen, so the quick-create plus isn't there. Use the New button on the page itself.
